Mount Montgo, also known as Montgo del Mar, is located in Spain, in the province of Alicante, next to the city of Javea. The top of Mount Montgo is located at an altitude of about 753 meters above sea level.

The route to the top of Montgo from Jesús Pobre is one of the longest (compared to the route that starts from the shooting range of Dénia). The maximum altitude reached is 750 meters and the minimum is 126 meters.

This route starts from CV-735, the Jávea-Dénia highway: there is a paved road that runs next to the fire extinguishing water tank. After about 500 meters it becomes a heavily eroded forest path where the slope begins to increase. From here the route goes to a narrow mountain path.

Following the path, we find the Iberian wall of the 2nd century BC, which protected the city of La. Peña de L’Aguila. Leaving these archaeological finds behind, we continue along the whole hill of Montgo and come to the geodesic peak pointing to the peak, at an altitude of 753 meters above sea level.

The time and distance for climbing to the top of Mount Montgó may vary depending on the physical fitness of the tourists and weather conditions. This route usually takes about 5 hours round trip and is approximately 10 km long. However, please note that these are estimates and actual times and distances may vary depending on conditions and individual abilities.
